Steven Heremaia -Fighter bio.
With his compact frame and menacing ring presence, Steven Heremaia is a “boxer-fighter” whose style has been compared to Mike Tyson. A great mover with impeccable balance, he is a spectacular finisher who is hard to hit. He displays extraordinary fight sense, landing considered blows and well-timed combinations with sharpshooter accuracy.
Heremaia turned pro in 2005 after winning a slew of amateur titles including the NZ championship in 2002 and the Golden Gloves in ’03. Since then, Heremaia has racked up 11 professional wins (5 KOs) and two losses, both on points. He has knocked out some of New Zealand’s toughest, most experienced fighters in his class.

Originally from Mangere, Auckland, Heremaia fights with Team Chur out of the Elite Thai-Kickboxing Gym in Penrose. He is trained by Chris Martin, conditioned by Mark and Turi at Ringside Boxing, sponsored by NZ Boxer and UAC Infotech.
A devoted father of one, Heremaia brings genuine knockout power to the junior middleweight class.
